Rockchip’s Sexy iPad Clone Hits The Market!

It seems like a day doesn’t go by without the introduction of another iPad inspired slate device, but this is one of the first of to actually go on sale.
The W7 is Rockchips Android powered PMP/tablet/slate device. It looks very much like what an iPad Nano or iPod Touch ….Big?… might look like.
Although in a previous post we confirmed 3G it looks as if the 1st generation will go without and only support WIFI. A 4.8 inch screen 3G model is planned for the future.
Prices vary on memory and start at 1300RMB for the 8Gb model and rise to 1600RMB for the 16Gb model.
As it is, we can certainly see the W7 as a nice alternative to Apple’s iPod Touch range, but we’ll personally hold off a for a possible 3G, GPS 2nd gen model before we hand over our hard earned.
