A new high speed railway service is getting ready for action linking Beijing to Shanghai. the new root is currently being tested and is planned to be fully operational by late 2011.
Once up and running the new Beijing to Shanghai root should be able to get commuters from one of the cosmopolitan cities to the other in less than 4 hours!
