Shanzhai 13.3-inch Sony Vaio Laptop

Although we really do love seeing all these glossy black (and white) Android tablets heading for the shelves it makes a really nice change to see a good old laptop know and again!

With the tablet market being so competitive these days, Shanzhai or locally produced laptops and netbooks are becoming a thing of the past, and those companies who still produce them have to keep the prices low to attract buyers.

This 13.3 inch tablet certainly checks the ‘low price’ box as it cost 1500 Yuan ($229) which is about the same as a good Chinese made tablet!
Under the subtle matt exterior there’s a dual core Atom CPU running at 1.8 Ghz, 1Gb RAM and 160Gb harddrive.

But cheap is cheap and the 4400mAh battery that comes with the Vaio styled clone won’t power that dual core and the 13.3 inch (1366 x 768) LCD screen for long.
