Zopo ZP200 and ZP300 Getting Dual-core MTK MT6577 Update

Typical! Just after spending a good portion of the morning writing this complete run down of all the Zopo phones on the market, Zopo have decided to update to of their most popular models with new dual-core 1.2Ghz processors.

Zopo are planning to breathe a little new life in to two of their best-selling dual-core Android phones. Both the Zopo Zp200 Shining (that’s the model with the glasses free 3D Sharp display) and the Zopo Zp300 Field (that’s the classy one with the LG 4.5 inch display) are current in the shop getting a bit of work done.

Gizchina News of the week

Zopo have decided to ditch the current MTK7567 single core 1Ghz chip used in both of these phones and replace it with the extremely popular MTK MT6577 dual-core cpu clocked at 1.2Ghz. Not only will this give the Zopo Zp200 and ZP300 a boost in performance but it will ensure that both phones can compete with soon to be launched models from Amoi and JiaYu.

For more info on Zopo’s range of dual-sim Android phones head over to this post “Which Zopo Dual-sim Android phone is for you?” which I have to now update…..

Thanks again to Amby for the tip!

I hope not as the MTK MT6577 is a rather cheap CPU

No news on the update or if the ZP100 or ZP500 will receive the same treatment but I don’t think this will be the case for now.
