Cutepad Q5 is a low cost $99 5 inch 3G phablet

Cutepad are one of the leading Chinese tablet manufacturers with a great following thanks to their high quality low price tablets, but is the 5 inch Cutepad Q5 with 3G really an Android tablet or is it a low cost phablet?

Just last year the Cutepad Q5 would have been classed very much as a low cost 5 inch tablet, but in today’s world of large screen Android phones and with some phones reaching mamouth proportions of 6 inches, I’m not sure if the Q5 is a tablet or a phablet!

Gizchina News of the week

Like similar 3G enabled tablets or Android phones from China, the Cutepad Q5 supports 2G, GSM , 3G and WDCMA networks plus it

has a built in GPS module so that it can be used for navigation while out and about.

Performance wise the CutePad Q5 looks much more like a budget Android tablet rather than full blown phablet due to the MTK6573 CPU, 512mb RAM and Power VRSGX531 GPU.

There are also a pair of built in cameras for capturing images and also using video chat applications such as Skype, Weixin, Tango and others.

Prices are expected to be around $99 once released in stores.
