Droid X360 Android Playstation Vita Clone Arrives in White

Shenzhen Xun Long have given their Android powered Droid X360 Playstation Vita a bit of an upgrade and a makeover. Full specs and details after the jump.

Shenzhen Xun Long have done a great job of producing an Android based handheld games console which really is worth a lot of praise on its own merit, unfortunately it looks exactly like a Sony Playstation Vita clone and will always be thought of as a knock-off.

However, if you can look past the blatant copyright infringements, the actual gaming device itself is actually pretty darn good.

A powerful 1.5 ghz CPU runs things and provides enough power to run the Android 4.0 ICS operating system, and thanks to the boost from 512mb to 1GB RAM games and other apps should run all that better.

Gizchina News of the week

The 5 inch touch screen offers onscreen controls for games like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja, while dual analog sticks, a joypad and action buttons allow for controlling of more serious FPS and action games.

There is also a HDMI out which allows you to plug the Droid X360 in to your TV for big screen gaming!

@Telmo sorry I’m not sure on the resolution. Price should be around 1000-1200 Yuan

I wouldn’t purchase this, because next month Archos is releasing the QUAD CORE 7 inch Android 4.0 GAMEPAD, more information will appear next month, and It’ll only be around $150-$180. To make things even better is that games in the android market will be compatible with the controls unlike some of the clones overseas.

“The 7-inch slate runs Android 4.0 with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Mali 400 MP GPU, and it sports physical gaming controls in addition to the standard touchscreen”

“Archos includes its own “game recognition and mapping tools,” which ensure that the physical buttons are compatible with Android games that use virtual controls (some 1,000 titles are apparently compatible with the GamePad at this point). Of course, this is an internet-enabled device as well, and it will include full access to the Play market and WiFi connectivity when it goes on sale at the end of October. Other specs include 8GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot that adds up to 64GB. There’s also a mini-HDMI connection for outputting content to your TV. For now, Archos is only announcing pricing as “less than €150″, and the device will drop in the US and Europe at the same time.”
