Latest leaked photos of the Oppo Find 5 give us a look at what the next super Oppo Android phone will look like, but some fans are going to be a little disappointed!

Don’t worry it appears the stupendous hardware is all still intact including the 12 mega-pixel Sony rear camera, the Qualcomm Quad-core CPU and 2GB RAM. And the fabulous 5 inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 1080p playback is still intact along with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and 2500mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

oppo find 5 to be thicker than first expected

No, the hardware is fine, the disappointment though may well come in the design of the Oppo Find 5 which now seems to come in at a much thicker 8.9-9mm rather than the originally claimed 6.9mm!

While this is hardly a deal breaker for most potential customers, it might be enough for some shoppers to look elsewhere for their next generation Android phone!

What about you guys are you bothered by the thicker body or is the specification more important?

Thanks again to Martin for the tip!

Yeah, even the last pics that came out looked ‘shopped. Feels like someone might just be releasing some rederings from Oppo or worse (or better depending on your POV), its just some fan made concepts

I am starting to think both the black and this white set of pictures were computer generated.
I mean, the black one is 6.9mm and the white one is 9?
I don’t see the reason to do this.
The pictures are originally from http://mobile.163.com/12/1022/10/8EDOS6FB0011179O.html
I don’t know that website nor do I know where they get their pics and info from, what’s more I don’t understand Chinese.
So I don’t know how accurate these new and pictures are, butit looks fishy.

Yeah, definitely looks mich wider and the bezel doesn’t look as slim. Perhaps it’s because it’s in silver, but I’m thinking the mock photos are unrepresentative and the one found on the forums looks like it had a hand holding at one angle and the phone at another to disguise it’s stupidly wide screen.
So I’m thinking twice now about this phone, shame the 1080p HTC doesn’t have a better camera.

      Why think twice?
All our questions will be answered at the very end of this month/start of November when it will be officially launched. THEN, maybe, you will be thinking again.

Yep agreed. Until its released its a waiting game.
The thing I liked about some of the photos so far is the thin bezel, like TVs makes the screen more impressive.
To answer Andy’s question, a thick phone is OK as long as its for strength & battery then not an issue.

I’m starting to think these images are all photoshopped. Why is the black one released earlier so much thinner (but still thicker than 6.67mm?).

The thinner models look more impressive. However, I am concerned about battery life. I’ll take a thicker phone if it means a beefy battery and wireless charging.
