Where is it on sale? And do you think it will be available for non-chinese people?

4.3 inch screen and only 800 x 480 resolution? The Tegra 3 CPU is such a waste! Pass! Next please.

Yes, excellent that it’s going on sale, even though it’s presale..
(the fact that ZTE will make it, does make it feel more secure)

Except a quad-core CPU, everything else sounds pretty crappy. The screen size, resolution, camera are so “grand-pa generation” ! Wont waste a penny of this piece of garbage !

Well, on a 4.3 inch screen, I don’t think 800×480 is so bad?
Why would you need 720p on something like that, I think it’ll work fine for that budget-segment?

Although the 5MP camera is a “bit” of a dissappointent, I personally am pretty happy with the 5MP on my Galaxy Nexus. I prefer a better lense than a higher megapixel count, but that’s uncertain on this one.

The Little pepper is a phone for people who want a cheap quad core phone. And 4.3 inch with 480X800 is not crappy.

Just what I came here to say. I’ve been looking at this forum for months now waiting for my next phone. I felt positive I was going to get the Xiaomi M2 when it was announced so many months ago. I was excited that China seemed to be pushing high quality low cost phones. I slowly became more and more disappointed as I realized that all of these Chinese companies were just blowing smoke. Seeing the nexus 4 leaks I felt sure that the price would be too high and I’d still end up buying the Xiaomi or oppo find 5 because they would be cheaper, and then BAM! $300 for a Google flagship phone?! Nice try China, better luck next year. So close.

Spam because we’re excited about the Nexus? I don’t know about you but I came to this site to find myself the best value phone with top specs. But after reading the blog it became apparent that a lot of the news about new phones are controlled leaks. “Hey wait! We’re going to come out with a monster phone….soon! Trust us!” The Xiaomi M2 was announced 75 days ago and just went on extremely limited pre-order today with no hopes of a user outside China getting one. In that time the iphone 5 was announced and sold. The nexus was just announced yesterday and will be delivered in 2 weeks.

Andi this is nothing against you. I still like coming to the site and reading news about phones that never seem to get any coverage at the verge and engadget. So keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll keep coming back to read.

for all Nexus 4 lovers:you need to be aware of its disadwantages:
a)no card slot,on 16Gb version=11Gb will be available for user storage.
    b)battery non removable
c)camera quality-LG had to cut corners to reduce hansed cost.

Personally,I’d buy Chineese smartphones anytime, just to support Chineese phone development, not to increase bigname companies turnover figures….

Yes, I agree that there are some specs about the Xiaomi that are still compelling and better than the Nexus. But here’s why the Nexus still wins (if you’re outside china):

      – non-sketchy pre order system from a reputable company, no fight over limited supply
      – a phone designed for international use with multi-language support
      – active english-speaking development community with custom roms etc. I was worried about this with the M2 but I like MIUI so I thought I could live with it.
      – guaranteed updates to the latest firmware

will thus phone will be another myth like jy-g3 with its delay … delay… delay…. and delay….

with lg nexus 4 only at $349, if this phone has dual sim capability maybe it will steal some attention from people ouside china, if not then.. LG Nexus 4 better is a better choice (well online retailer will be raise the price to 200+ w/o shipping)

Andi. Something I do not understand. I do not care what people would buy iPhone 5, 6 or 8 NEXUS etc. I think you need to remove comments which do not relate to the exact model of the article.
