Well the 13th of November has been and gone and rather than Meizu unveiling their latest Android phone, they have instead announced where and when the new Meizu MX2 will be shown off first!
After the teaser images Meizu released with today’s date on many Meizu fans were left guessing where the new 4.4 inch MX2 would be launched. Some guessed the Meizu factory while other correctly guessed the Watercube in Beijing!
So if you are in Beijing on the 27th November be sure to head down to the Watercube to take part in the festivities I’m sure it will be a good one with plenty of giveaways for die-hard Meizu fans! Click here for directions and to see the Meizu MX2 countdown.

Meizu MX2 specifications, availability and pricing
While the MX2 will be officially shown off on the 27th we expect the phone to go on sale on 1st January just as the MX and the M9 did before. Prices are expected to be 2999 Yuan for the quad-core phone and its likely that we will see a drop in price for the current Meizu Mx during the launch too.
Unlike the majority of manufacturers who keep their next-gen phone specs a secret Meizu have confirmed almost everything about their new phone!

- RAM: 2GB
- Display: 4.4 inch 1280 x 800
- Storage: Upto 64GB (built-in)
- Rear camera: 8 mega-pixel with f/2.0 Aperature and LED flash

- OS: Latest version of Meizu’s Flyme ROM based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
I’m sure Meizu haven’t given everything away and I can’t wait to see what surprises the MX2 has in store for us!

So they changed from 4.3 screen to 4.4 and from 1.5 Ghz to 1.6 Ghz quadcore?
The 50 online buyers from Oct, 30 now have a different phone (let’s say “Prototype”) ?
The MX has a 4 inch screen with a 1.4ghz CPU. Mx2 will be a lot faster and significantly bigger. I hope that their reason behind evolving the MX design rather than launching a whole new phone is because they have put their efforts in the ROM and removing bugs. Fingers crossed 😉
I cant help it, I just dont seem to care about meizu products guess because they are expensive which kinda defeats the point of purchasing a phone from china.

teurer als Nexus 4 ja das auch, dazu kommt bei dem hohen Preis für Käufer aus Europa, hohe Transport und Zollkosten und keine Garantie. Insgesamt ist es ein schlechtes Geschäft für Käufer aus dem Ausland.
