Is it just me or doesn’t it run completely smooth. If i watch him scrolling i’ve seen better.

Would the Fullhd display play an role here ?

That’s my number one gripe with EVERY Android phone I’ve ever played with. I really don’t understand this issue, as the iPhone 1 had silky smooth behavior, and these phones are many times faster. It’s got to be a problem on Google’s side, and not the hardware side.

This is a beast of a phone though. The specs are truly awesome.

My only gripe is the thickness, which isn’t as nice as the Oppo Finder.

The reason that the it doesn’t run completely smooth, one of the main reason is due to this video’s frame skipping, try to look at his hand moving, it’s not smooth, so don’t expect the phone to move smooth as well. since it’s the video’s flawed

Hey Andi, what happens if you don’t return the review unit they send you?

Is it made of metal? It looks like plastic in the video but metal in the photos. I kinda trust the photos beause the video is of worse quality.
Is the back of gray colour made of metal or is it white colour? It was supposed to be a metal unibody though.
Also does it have the Qi Wireless charging as ‘leaked’ by the CEO some time ago?

Is there any chance of getting the international version before Christmas? I would like to know how to contact them, and do a similar way as journalists do with their review units. It is of vital importance that I get it before Christmas, can you maybe email me of a way to contact Oppo?

Sorry if I sound like a freak but please reply, even via email.

During the unveiling, Oppo conveniently ignored the rest of the body and focused all the attention on the stainless steel, chromium plated front panel (the black part). No mention of the rest of the case. To keep the weight down, it’s tough to imagine the entire thing is a block of metal. The Meizu MX2, for example, is only 23 grams lighter and it is a much smaller phone with a plastic rear cover.

It was said that it was a metal unibody type of thing.

    Is there a 32gb version?
The camera looks beast, so I might get it even with there is no 32gb version

That is one is sick, I see the snapshot on the antutu, and it scores 18K! If the camera is as good as the hype and the UI is much better than Touchwiz, well, Samsung GS3, watch your throne seat!

18k is nice but, my Xiaomi m2 does 22k and without overclock.

But nice phone! Might switch from the m2 to this one, gotta love full hd screens!

The Finder 5 already comes with Google Play? Now Google and so on.? You can leave it in Portuguese?

    • December 15, 2012

In one of the screen from hands-on the ones that showed the antutu benchmark, in the notification tray up there showed google now traffic info so I supposed it will have a pre-installed standard google application (Google Search (and Google Now), Playstore, Talk, Google+)
