Oppo Find 5 going on sale 7th January?

It’s been a good few weeks since Oppo unveiled the Find 5, and by our reckoning the phone should be going on sale very soon! How soon you ask? Well it looks like this Monday (7th January).

When Oppo launched the Find 5, they shocked the mobile phone industry with their stylish 5-inch phone with hardware specs streaks ahead of the rest. Highlights include the 1080 5-inch display, quad-core Qualcomm CPU and that amazing Sony Exymor Pro camera.

But one thing the didn’t unveil was a release date for customers to actually be able to buy this awesome phone. We’ll judging my the posts on Oppo’s official Facebook page the Find 5 is going to go on sale 7th January (this Monday)!

Gizchina News of the week

The image above, which seems to feature a blurred image of the Find 5 was posted on the Facebook page yesterday along with the text:

We hope that you’re well rested after Christmas and New Years, because we have been preparing something Ofans will go CRAZY over! Stay tuned, stay tuned…

I think it’s safe to say that January 7 will either be the first day we can buy the Find 5, or (more likely) the official announcement of the launch date, has to be sometime within the next few weeks so to meet the Chinese New Year holiday shopping period.

Keep posted for more details!

The community rep on the oppo forums posted a thread with placeholder for the announcement. The thread title is “Find 5 belongs to the entire world” Might be a release date announcement and maybe their own buy direct international webstore?

    HI Andy,

I’m really interested in this phone but I think I’d prefer to get the original 4.1/4.2 experience. I’ve read that this model has proprietary skinning from Oppo which renders a lot of the android functions unusable.

Do you know how readers could get the Finder 5 with all the orginal android functions?

I don’t think this will be possible until devs get the Find 5 in their hands and work on rooting it.
