The Ginwave GNote 2, Sony Xperia Ion looks at a fraction of the price!

When looking at the Chinese phone scene it’s easy which phones are causing a stir and which aren’t, and judging by the styling for the Ginwave GNote 2 the Sony Xperia Ion is one hot phone in China.

Jingwei have just announced their GNote to will receive a price drop of 300 Yuan ($48) for the Chinese New Year, so what we are basically looking at here is one hell of a stylish Android phone with 5.3-inch display at a very affordable price!

The GNote 2 has, what we at Gizchina like to call, the “MTK recipe” which for those of you who don’t know means a dual-core MT6577 CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB memory and 8 mega-pixel rear camera.

Gizchina News of the week

A 5.3-inch 960 x 540 display can either be navigated by finger tip, or you can make use of the slide out stylus for making notes or drawing smiley faces.

GNote say that they have included microblogging and office software to make the phone perfect for a business user, and with the dual-sim support the MTK chip offers we can certainly see a few being used in this manner.

The current price for the Ginwave Gnote 2 is 1999 Yuan $321.

Hi Andi, a complete hands-on video review of this phone will be much appreciated. A 960 x 540 display isn’t that exciting, right? I can imagine it’s not an HD. More detailed specs please.
