4.5-inch Acer Liquid E1 arrives in China

Acer’s phones aren’t seen as “ones to own” here in China, and unfortunately the new Acer Liquid E1 doesn’t look set to change things.

The E1 is aimed at the budget minding phone customer who doesn’t want to spend the earth to get their hands on a useable phone. Unfortunately the E1 Liquid is just a little too underpowered and uninspiring, and isn’t likely to attract customers who could probably buy something like the JiaYu G4 or Sheng X7 at a similar price and with better hardware.

In case you’re wondering, the new Acer offers a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1GB RAM, 4GB of built-in memory and a 5 mega-pixel rear camera with pricing set at around 1600 Yuan ($267).

Gizchina News of the week

In comparison the Sheng X7 has a 5-inch 1080 display and quad-core CPU for $160 and the JiaYu G4 packs 2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel rear camera at a similar price, and if you didn’t want to wait for those the Samsung Exynos equipped Newman N2 is on sale for $240 with a 13 mega-pixel sensor!

Oh, Acer what are you thinking?

Brand name sure sells but I think most people who browse this site don’t really care with big brand for their phone. πŸ˜‰
