Exclusive: HDC One HTC One clone coming April 1 for $160

We’re seeing some pretty amazing clones today. First there was the No. 1 mini Pad, and now we have the first look at the HDC One, the world’s first HTC One clone!

People often ask ‘why would you buy a clone or knock off of a popular phone’ usually the answer goes along the lines that the clone is cheaper, offers just as good a specification, and sometimes even something a bit extra. In the case of the HDC One you might consider buying this over the real HTC One as the launch date is 1st April and there are no delays!

Gizchina News of the week

That’s not even mentioning the overall appearance which is simply stunning!

The HDC One (aka HDC HX9299A) doesn’t quite meet the HTC’s specifications, but it is buy no means a bad phone and features a 4.7-inch 720HD screen, 1.2 Ghx quad-core MT6589 CPU, 1GB RAM, 2 mega-pixel front camera, 8 mega-pixel rear and Android 4.2.1.

Before you do go rushing off to pre-order the phone though you keep in mind that the HDC one doesn’t offer dual-sim support like many other Chinese phones do, and that the battery is a rather small 1600mAh unit.

If these details don’t bother you too much then, this HTC One clone looks like a fantastic phone to own especially at just $160!

Read it again and you will see I’m not saying the HDC one offers just as good a specification…

I’ts not that bad but with a 1600 mAh battery…. you won’t get far.

Well, stuff a FullHD Display and at least 2500mah battery into this piece and I’d pay $200 + $50 for shipping and fees. Or the Butterfly X920 clones look pretty nice, too and it hasn’t been released here in Germany yet. So it would be kind of a unique style here. But lack of 4,7″ FullHD 🙁

Too bad it has such a small battery, my htc sensation has a 1580 mah battery and i dont even make it to the end of the day with it. definitely the dealbreaker of this phone

I wish some manufacturer would snap in a 13MP sensor, 2gb ram and 2000mA battery. This phone may sell even more than original HTC One.

    • March 31, 2013

I imagine it will get a fake Sense UI as many other HDC phones do. Not sure about the rear panel though

Is the screen gorilla glass? lots of chinese knockoffs dont have it so the good looks last only a while, then its all scratched and broken.

just ordered one from fastcardtech.com, they have a bunch for sale at $159, i got tired of waiting for the goophone one clone as no one is writing anything more about it since the initial article and every other article thats been written on other blogs all source their info from gizchina. im starting to think it was a fake leak (not from you guys but it was a fake image uploaded and everyone thought it was real) 🙁 i wish the hdc had a larger battery but if it lasts the day i wont complain

I personally don’t like the HTC One design at all. It looks a lot like the Jiayu G3. I certainly prefer the HTC/HDC Butterfly design! Looks great!

Also 1600mAh?!?! What the heck? With that battery it won’t even last until the night. lol. 2 charges per day.
