Ainol Novo 7 Crystal 2 quad-core 7-inch tablet for less than $100!

It’s not often that we write about Android tablets here, but when we get wind of a new Ainol tablet like the Novo 7 Crystal, it’s hard to ignore it.

A few years ago Ainol pounced on the tablet world with their then new Novo 7 range of 7-inch tablets. The tablets represented great value for money and were actually one of the first device to run Android ICS!

Gizchina News of the week

The Ainol Novo 7 range has evolved a lot since then and now comprises of a number of well priced devices all offering up to date hardware. The Ainol Novo 7 Crystal is one of the more popular models in the range thanks to the 1024 x 600 7-inch display, quad-core CPU and large(isn) 3700mAh battery.

It also doesn’t harm matters that the Ainol Novo 7 Crystal 2 costs just over on $94.99 via online resellers such as Lightake! In fact the only thing we don’t like is the overly long name!

What’s the CPU? The same lame ATM 7209? A dual core is even faster. Fail.

Wanted to replace it with the Cube U30GT 2 but that is / will not be avalible in black to soon it seems. So first i switched to the Pipo M8 pro for about 215 dollar.

Maybe Ainol sticks to ATM processors because ATM is the only microprocessor manufacturer that aids them on keeping kernel sources available…

Why 1024×600? With such a screen resolution you don’t even need a Quad Core. I would’ve gone for it if the screen resolution was at least 1280×800. 🙁
