Chinese tablet maker Longku launches Samsung 8-core tablet


The Samsung Galaxy S4 is about to be joined in the 8-core arena by a Chinese made tablet using the same Samsung Exynos 5410 1.8ghz 8-core chip!

Samsung are currently the exclusive users of their own 8-core Exynos chip which boasts Big.Little switching to enable super fast performance and better energy efficiency. Rumour abound claim the Meizu MX3 will also use the same chip, and now a tablet from Longku joining the trio.

Sources are referring to the tablet as simply the Longku 8-core tablet, which will be powered by a 1.8Ghz Exynos chip, with 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and a 1280 x 800 display. As the processor also comes with 3G you will also be able to make calls on the device and browse the web.

No release date pricing or full specs are available just yet.

    Apparently buying up for cheap Sammy’s 1st gen 8-core SoCs, which fail to deliver Global task scheduling, but only are capable of Cluster Migration for its 4+4 cores, instead of using the current and improved Exynos5420.

      True, true.. Hope that Meizu won’t do the same mistake with MX3.
