Xiaomi Mi3 caught in the wild once again!

With only a few days before Xiaomi unveil the Xiaomi Mi3 photos of the prototype have been obtained again, is this the final Mi3 design?

These spy photos were taken without the knowledge of there user of the Mi3 (possibly a Xiaomi employee judging by his T-Shirt) and sent over to French tech site Nowhereelse.

Gizchina News of the week

The designs match those which where posted sometime ago, also obtained via sneak photos taken on the subway. We can just make out the ‘Mi’ logo under the index finger of the user and can plainly see that this device is much larger than the current 4.3-inch Xiaomi Mi2.

Xiaomi will officially unveil the Mi3 on 5th September in Beijing. The phone is believed to have a 1080 display, Snapdragon 800 or Tegra 4 processor, 2GB RAM, 3000mAh battery, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and offer improved stereo sound.

Thanks to AdLion for the tip.

Xiaomi Mi3 will not be anything revolutionary- but the entire world is hoping that it will be an amalgam of high end hardware and software coupled with excellent build quality. If Xiaomi wishes to realise its dream of becoming a giant- it will have to step out of its backyard China- and Go Global- come and get India- Xiaomi– Huge Indian market is there for taking…

when reading about market shares and stuff around, I always forget about India, country of almost the same population as china! And yes, if they conquer india and china, they conquer half of the world 😉

    It’s really bad that it’s 5 inch, why not 4.5 or 4.7?

Totally agree! I will go with the Mi2s as well in case that is the design they came up with. Hopefully that prototype is one of the many in the past.

Xiaomi Employee A : “Hey guys you know that lumia phone no one really want?”
    Xiaomi Employee B : “Yeah”
Xiaomi Employee A : “Let’s copy their design for our popular phone’s successor!”
    Xiaomi Employee B : “You’re a genius chief!”

Yes i must agree with the majority here that the design is a complete piece of shit and waste! I was really praying it won´t look anything near like the Nokia but unfortunately this could really be the nightmare come true. Guys come on, why to copy such an uncomfortable phones design? I had a Nokia Lumia 920 at when you have that in your pocket you can bet that you will feel the freaking sharp edges and pain in the ass too. The should stick to the design which they have now in MI2 and MI2s, make some little changes and of you go to see the huge demand and interest. But making it such a huge phones with this shitty design is something that will make people to rethink the orderd twice and move instead to the Oppo or Meizu brand exactly like me!!!

Sharp edged phones are not pleasant to use when compared to rounded edges…dont let other manufacturers fool you. I got personal experience with lumia and xperia p….you are forced to hold them by the side cause the bottom corners dig into the palm.

Unlike you guys, I like sharp square off edges on everything… Those Japanese flip phone always feel great in my hand. I also like lumia design, just don’t like WP, so this phone maybe something I really like.
