OrientPhone N8 is a Mediatek powered 3G Galaxy Tab 3 alternative


The OrientPhone N8 is a budget conscious quad-core, 8-inch tablet with built-in 3G and support of voice calls.

The N8 takes after the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in the looks department from the white polycarbonate body, the physical home button and 8-inch display.

Behind the 8-inch IPS 800 x 1280 display is a quad-core Mediaket MT8389 which is basically a tablet specific version of the popular MT6589. Like it’s phone counterpart the MT8389 runs at 1.2Ghz and has built-in support for 3G and GSM networks as well as GPS, WIFI and Bluetooth.

Other features include 1GB RAM, 8GB of built-in memory, the option for and SD memory card, 8 mega-pixel rear and 5 mega-pixel front camera plus Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

As you can probably tell by the name the OrientPhone N8 is an OEM device from online electronics specialist OrientDeal, which is where it can be bought for just shy of $204.

    Orient is not a factory it is just a trade name – I think the real producer is FEITENG – can anyone confirm that?
