DIY Xiaomi tablet, MIUI V5 ported to Lenovo A3000 Tablet

There had been plenty of rumours about a Xiaomi tablet and although nothing has been released yet, fans still can’t shake the idea so have had to port MIUI V5 over to the Lenovo A3000 tablet.

Gizchina News of the week

This isn’t the first MIUI port for an Android tablet but it is the first MIUI V5 based on Android 4.2.1 to make it’s way on to a larger display. The ROM is very much still in the beta phase of testing so there are a number of bugs, plus the fact that MIUI won’t allow you to install apps on an SD card is an issue with the limited space, but the majority of the work has been done.

The Lenovo A3000 is a great tablet to build a DIY Xiaomi tablet from too as it offers many of the features we had expecting including a 7-inch display, quad-core CPU, but unfortunately lacks 3G.
