MT6592-powered Newman K18 spy photos surface showing us an Xperia Z inspired design!

Another addition to the list of manufacturers working on MT6592 phones is Newman. Spy photos of the Newman K18 have emerged which depict a Sony Xperia Z inspired smartphone in stealth black!

Apart from pictures, some specifications including a 5-inch 1080p OGS panel, scratch-resistant coating, 8-core MT6592 CPU, etc. got mentions as well. The phone is speculated to be only 6.17mm thick, which means the K18 will be among the thinnest out there, rivaling Huawei’s P6. Although it looks like Newman engineers haven’t had a lot to put into the design thanks to them taking inspiration from the Sony Xperia Z, we have to admit the phone does have a touch of elegance with its sleek-looking unibody design! Gizchina News of the week

With the K18, Newman now join the list of Chinese manufacturers known to be working on 8-core MT6592 phones, which currently includes the likes of TCL, UMi, THL, Zopo, among others. While there’s no doubting the potential of the 8-core MT6592, manufacturers like THL and now Newman seem to be doing well in giving their MT6592-powered phones a good face as well!

I don’t know, but I quite like the design. It looks similar to the Z from the back, but the buttons on the side are different and the front is probably going to have capacitive touch buttons.
