Flyme 3.4.1 released for Meizu MX3, MX2 and MX

Meizu have launched a nice present for Chinese fans for the Chinese New Year by releasing Flyme 3.4.1 for all current MX devices.

The update only appears to be available for China Unicom and China Mobile version of the phone, although the new ROM should still work on Hong Kong version of the phones too.

Gizchina News of the week

Updates in the ROM include new desktop icons, wallpapers, updates to the music and video apps, an new search feature in the phone app, for all phones but it’s the MX3 which gets the most updates with changes to the phone app, cloud services, music, camera, notes, find my phone and the application center.

I’m am currently downloading the ROM now and will give it a run this weekend and report back on it next week.

Frankly I think Meizu has far better industrial designs for both their hardware and software than others. Their phone looks amazing, the ROM isn’t half bad either, they’re just too pricey 🙁

    Hello there,

Is there a guide for how to upgrade the firmware?

I was an apple lover, and just bought a Meizu MX3 last week so I’m kinda new in the Android world.

Reading this post I realized I don’t have this new version of the firmware. Then I got some doubts about what’s the version I should install, the domestic or the China Unicom, because in the box it shows their logo but I have no contract with them. And I’m concerned of this because I want to take and use this smartphone in my country, so I dont want to make things worse with this upgrade.

Hope someone can help me with this.

    Thanks

    Hey,

look at your bill or in the system settings which phone you got.
And besides, their should be at the last tab of the settings menu to search for upgrades.

In general you upgrade by putting the .zip/.bin to the root of your sd card, shutting down the phone and press volume up and power to enter the firmware flashing mode.
