leaked render and photo sample of the Android Nokia X phone

Rumours of an Android powered Nokia phone could be true as more leaked details and even a purported photo sample from the Nokia X turn up.

If you had asked us this time last year if we though a Nokia Android phone would ever see light of day you can imagine what the answer would have been (mostly likely followed by tremendous laughter). However it is looking more certain that the Nokia X will soon be available and will in fact get Android OS (with every aspect of Google removed that is!).

Gizchina News of the week

The $110 Nokia X turned up in these purported renders early showing the entry level device in a range of bright colours. According to specs the phone will have a 4-inch 480 x 854 display, 1Ghz Snapdragon 200 processor, dual SIM support, 512mb RAM and 5 megapixel camera. However, this leaked photo sample from the Nokia X claims the main camera resolution will be just 3 mega-pixels!

What do you think about the Nokia X? Great bargain phone, or over priced and to late?

    hahaha ridiculous if it’s true.

Yes, historically, Nokia has been the only company stingier that Apple on screen size.

Clearly the internal politics at Nokia required this device to be a S40 replacement, not an S60 replacement (like the Windows phones). I’m guessing that they couldn’t get it though internal approvals if it was going to compete with their Windows phones.

They’ve also reskinned the OS to look similar to Wondows Phone OS. Yuck.

Swedes have nothing to do with Nokia. It is over hundred years old FINNISH company. And it will stay as one as MS is only buying the phone manufacturing. Get your facts right so you dont make yourself sound stupid.

I remember nokia and microsoft had signed a contract in 2009 , that nokia will only use windows phone os on their smart phones. and since Microsoft actually bought Nokia last year , so I guess this is more likely to be fake.
I mean for real, a lumia style android device? you must be kidding to me.
