Lenovo, taking a crack at producing a more premium device at a good price, launched the all glass Lenovo S850 at MWC, here is our first hands on and impressions.

iOcean, Oppo and now Lenovo are all Chinese manufactures who are attempting to bring the premium feel of a dual sided glass smartphone to a mid-range price point. In Lenovo’s case the phone is the all new Lenovo S850 which was announced this week at Mobile World Congress.

It is clear from the specifications(1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582, 1GB RAM) that the Lenovo S850 has been built for style rather than speed. The hardware is more than capable of everyday tasks from web browsing to casual gaming, but this is not a phone for the hardcore user or heavy gamer.

The stylish design, colour options and above average cameras (13 mega-pixel main, 5 mega-pixel front) make the phone perfect for phone users who enjoy their lifestyle, and fashion rather than the latest specs.

Like most of Lenovo’s range from MWC this year, the Lenovo S850 should be available in a number of countries around the globe starting in the next few weeks. Pricing is just $270 which is exceptionally cheap for an unlocked, premium, mid-range phone.
