Oppo Officially Enters Mexico


After entering the Malaysian and Indian market, Oppo have now officially entered Mexico. Mexico is also the first marekt Oppo will be working alongside local carriers.

Oppo have long been selling their smartphones in numerous countries around the world online, but they are now officially entering new and emerging market with offices, and physical stores. The next port of call for the premium Chinese phone maker is Mexico, where Oppo will actually be working with local network carriers to offer their phones.

The device which will be first available in Mexico include the Oppo N1, Oppo Find 5 min and the Oppo Neo. More details in the press release below.

OPPO Enters Mexican Mobile Market

OPPO Announces its Entrance into the Mexican Mobile Market

MEXICO CITY – March 11, 2014 – OPPO today announced its entrance into Mexico’s mobile market with plans of introducing three of their devices to the country. The announcement took place during a launch event held at the Telcel Theater in Mexico City. Entering the country will be done in collaboration with Telcel, one of Mexico’s largest carriers.

With to continuance of OPPO’s expansion internationally, the mobile manufacturer shall enter Mexico as the next country for offline retail after entering India in January and Malaysia in February. The phones that can be expected to be available within the retail stores are the OPPO N1, Find 5 mini and the Neo.

Mexico’s high growth rate has remained consistent throughout recent years within the telecommunications industry. As an indication for potential development of mobile technology in the country, OPPO will look to increase brand recognition during this time. As the company makes the transition into Central America, Telcel will partner with OPPO to support the branding of the phones within the Mexican market.
