2nd Generation Xiaomi TV to measure 55-inch and cost $483

Reports out of Taiwan claim that the next generation Xiaomi TV could measure in as large as 55-inches!

The news reports that Xiaomi have been testing displays from Samsung and LG and that 47-49 inch screen were considered before a 55-inch panel was finally chosen. Apparently Xiaomi also toyed with the idea of a 4K TV, but will not release such a high resolution TV in the near future.

Pricing is said to be as low as 2999 Yuan, other hardware was not mentioned but it seems likely the 2nd Generation Xiaomi TV will be powered by a Qualcomm processor.

The screen alone costs more than that. The reporting on this site is so sloppy.
