LTE enabled Huawei Ascend Mate 2 goes on pre-order in the US

The Ascend Mate 2 4G, from Hauwei’s own series of endurance phablets, goes on pre-sale in the US starting today.

This 6.1 inch monster of a device will be available for pre-order at Huawei’s brand new US store GetHuawei.com, where it is priced at $299.99. This is a good price to pay for a device when you consider its unlocked nature, which means you have your freedom to shift from carrier to carrier. What’s more, if you pre-order before 22nd June, you also get a free flip cover for the device along with a SIM card loaded with $50 worth of free services.

Besides LTE support, the device is made worthy of its price tag by a 3,990mAh battery, and a 6.1-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display. Thanks to the mammoth battery, you can use the Ascend Mate 2 to power other devices.

Other specifications of the phablet include a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage with microSD expansion, a 13 mega-pixel BSI enabled rear camera, and lastly, a 5 mega-pixel front shooter.

The LTE enabled device runs Android v4.3, which is of course overlaid with Huawei’s Emotion UI, version 2.0.
