LG G3’s mini sibling to be called ‘LG G3S’

LG might’ve put all their engineering brain into making a phone that’s truly on top of tech (read: LG G3), but apparently that hasn’t satisfied the section of the market that still seeks smaller phones.

Thus cometh into the picture, the LG G3 mini aka the G3S. Please, do not, DO NOT confuse this with the Jiayu G3S. Jokes apart, the LG G3S just leaked thanks to notorious leakster @evleaks.

Gizchina News of the week

The smartphone is expected to feature more than just one variant, including one with dual SIM support, something which could make the device an instant hit among buyers in emerging markets, where dual SIM is a feature that often sits on the top of the list. Besides that, a 720p HD screen is believed to feature on the device, akin to many other ‘minis’ out there. There’s no word on a screen size whatsoever, but we believe it is safe to assume the device will be operable in one hand, given LG’s fondness for a high screen : footprint ratio.

Other than that, the G3S is believed to feature an LG-skinned ROM based on Android v4.4.2, along with an 8 mega-pixel camera. That being said, we’re starting to think the device is going to be more of a budget affair than a powerful, mini phone…

What do you think? Let us know.
