Make the Google Glass even more clumsy looking and remove one of method of interaction and you have the Chinese Baidu-Eye wearable.

Baidu announced the Baidu-Eye during the Baidu World Conference where show goers were able to see the strange looking headband and check out it’s features. Show goers and media were quick to compare Baidu-Eye with Google Glass, but Baidu bosses claim their invention has a number of benefits over the Google model.

First of all the Baidu-Eye doesn’t have a screen to drain the battery, and as Chinese product has a different shape the design is more balanced and more comfortable to wear. On the other hand though we could point out the lack of screen might hinder user experience, and the design is simply terrible!

Still Baidu have faith in their product and believe that through vocal commands and audio feedback the wearer will get just as good a user experience. Production plans were not mentioned and neither was pricing, but we should see them cost similar to Lenovo’s glasses which cost around 8000 Yuan.

lol this has nothing to do with Glass ,it’s just a camera while Glass is a computing device or at least a monitor.
