Elephone have announced that their Elephone G6 phone will be up for pre-order from 23rd September to customers around the globe.
As we reported last week the Elephone G6 is an attractive 5-inch HD phone that costs just $149.99. Now, we have seen plenty of smartphones at this price point, but what makes the Elephone G6 different is the use of a more powerful octacore MT6592 processor, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and rear mounted finger-print security scanner.
The 7.8mm phone also has dual SIM, OTG, Micro SD and Android 4.4 Kitkat as standard.

Presales for the phone are available through Chinese reseller sites Coolicool, Focalprice and Eternal Team, at the special introduction price of $146.99 with a 16GB SD card thrown in to sweeten the deal.

I never bought one but I know several people that have and all of them had some sort of problems with it. From major software bugs to complete hardware failure.

The camera is probably poor quality, was going to get a fingerrint phone But the thing about the iphone and samsung fingerprint is ease of access with a front thumb swipe…this back one that ive seen reviews of sometimes takes a few goes..and its just as easy to have a pattern unlock if thats the case. front finger unlock is so much quicker and easier with one smooth action, not having to fiddle around with back of the phone and index finger
Meh fingerprint scanners and the like are just gimmicks like 3d tv. I prefer they work on real innovation like better batteries and optical image stabilisation, laser focus and smaller bezels.
thrue this but thats why i want acheap phone until something special I want comes out…easy resale value with the fingerprint scanner, unseen on other phones here really only iphone.

Looks like a very good deal, but a MT6592 with only 2250mah battery worries me. I still don’t have an idea about their power consumption, as I only have experience with a iNew V3.
