After finally launching the $169.99 Ecoo Shining Pro smartphone, Ecoo have begun to tease their next phone a 64bit model named the Ecoo Aurora.

So far Ecoo have launched 2 phones. The first a Samsung Galaxy S5 wannabe with octacore processor and 1080 display at a low price, and the second phone the Ecoo E02 Shining with octacore chip and 2GB RAM launched just a few days ago.

For 2014 it appears that’s the line up finished for Ecoo, but early 2015 will see the release of possibly their most interesting phone to date, the Ecoo Aurora! The Aurora has two main features which make it standout when compared to the other Ecoo products, 1) It is an original design 2) It features a quad-core 64bit chip!

Econ say they will use a quad-core version of the Mediatek MT6732 chipset in the Aurora running at 1.5Ghz, that chip has a Mali T760 CPU and should give the phone access to LTE networks. As the phone is still in development the rest of the specs are subject to change and we sincerely hope they do, as with just 1GB RAM, 8GB memory and a 5.5-inch qHD display the rest of the phone is looking a little underwhelming!

A phone with this design will sell if it has beefier specs… hopefully ECOO doesn’t miss out on this opportunity.
