JiaYu have released spy photos, specs and even official documents stating that the entry-level JiaYu F2 will be launching very soon.

The JiaYu S3 is the phone that is getting most of the attention at the moment, but it isn’t the only new phone that JiaYu have developed recently.

The popular ‘F’ series of phones now sees the 4G LTE generation with the latest JiaYu F2. The phone recently received network approval in China (along with the JiaYu S3) and is aimed at smartphone users who need quality and good hardware on a budget.

lol, which is correct? “2GB ram” as it says in the headline or “2B ram” as it said in the article body? If it’s the latter, very disappointing, we often see phone manufacturers just not listening to our pleas for more ram but this is getting ridiculous.

nope. old 32 bit SoC wont make the cut …. 64 bit is today’s market and it aint gonna change for no reason. Disappointing from Jiayu.

the lloks seem more than fine. If it fits in a body under 68.5 mm wide i’m interested to buy this (for the girlfriend who doenst care about 64bit). Let’s just hope the gps function is decent

That phone’s GPU with MT6582 SoC Is able to output 9 Gflops….which means that with a 720p screen It’ll probably lag even on Mario…ashame…

Lol no. I mean even old crap SGX531 can handle 2D games. (I even manged to play gta3 pretty fine on my JiaYu G3 first batch around November 2012)

I was kidding… But, really, I owned a MT6589 phone with HD Res. And it lagged even when playing temple run sometimes. (I was surprised to find out that the MT6589 actually does 0.2 GFLOPS MORE than the MT6582, which should have been It’s successor on the low-end.

I don’t think there will be problems with 720p screen. Specs are really good for low-budget <150$ smartphone. And it's just as I like – as much screen in as small body as possible. With a decent battery. And design looks like G3 but much better and slicker. I'd probably bought it if my G3 didn't work fine after more than 2 years of use. Now I'll wait until 16nm MediaTek SoC version of F2.

    > JiaYu have released spy photos

How is that possible? JiaYu spied on themselves?

I was thinking the same, but China is a communist country, everything is possible even people spying themselves.

I think it’s as simple as that the word’s taken on a new meaning. Now every photo before the official release of a product is a spy photo.

I think “teaser” would be the correct word.

Probably poor grammar here, or a simply a missing word? Probably should read ‘JiaYu employee releases ‘spy’ photos of the JiaYu F2?’ Sounds more plausible.

I like the similar design to the Jiayu G3 and the specs but not interested in buying a phone with MT6582.

This phone when reported as in development last year was said would be one of the cheapest LTE phone which could have a price tag of les than $100.00. At that price it could be a good second emergency phone, or a phone for the kids. But I am looking forward to the earlier reported Jiayu S4 with a smaller (4.7 or 4.8 inch) screen and a 64 bit processor maybe the MTK6732
