Chinese fans pre-order 100,000 Meizu m1 in 1 minute

meizu m1 100

Since the dawn of low-cost Chinese phones we have come accustomĀ to seeing huge numbers of devices sold out in just a few minutes and the release of the Meizu m1 was no different.

Yesterday, Meizu opened the pre-sale for the Meizu m1 where a limited number of 100,000 phones were set aside for fans to order on a first come first serve basis. We’ve seen Xiaomi use a similar model to huge success with sell out times in just a few seconds at times!

Gizchina News of the week

Meizu did shockingly well with 100,000 of the m1 pre-ordered in only 1 minute after the sale began! It’s a great success for the Meizu as a company, but many fans have been left disappointed by the sale and will have to wait for the next batch of phones to arrive before they can have another chance.

Just a word of warning. Many of the Meizu m1 sold in the sale will have been picked up by scalpers and resellers for sale outside of China, however the current version of the Meizu m1 will only work on China Mobile’s 3G and 4G services and users outside of China will only have access to GSM.

100,000 in 1 minute is marketing, there are not 100,000 single orders of people, to understand this we have to appear the resellerĀ“s way of working that buy a lot of units to stock international and chinese market

Meizu don’t even feature in the top 5 wordwide so 100,000 is good number for them.
even if it’s to retailers , it’s still a sale.

I’m only disappointed that the phone was a let down compared to the leaks.
