If you thought the X range from iOcean became extinct when the Rock hit think again! A post on the official iOcean Facebook page shows the upcoming iOcean X9.
When the iOcean Rock MT6752 launched we can’t way we all that impressed with the design of the phone, and despite it’s great hardware the design is really what is holding the phone back.
Enter the iOcean X9! The X9 follows in the footsteps of the popular iOcean X7 and last years X8. The images posted on the official iOcean Facebook page show a slim smartphone with alloy chassis and design similar to the Xiaomi Mi4, and Huawei Honor 6.

As far as specifications are concerned all we know is that the chassis of the iOcean X9 is believed to be thinner than the iPhone 6, and that it will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Processing is likely from one of the current 64bit Mediatek chips, which couple of GB RAM.

It has huge bezels, especially since it has sohtware navigation buttons (part of display).
if its under $200 i might consider one!

iOcean is losing his design senses. The iOcean X7 and X8 are very nice and stunning devices. But this X9 following the Rock not resembles the previous premium feelings. The back of X9 actually looks nice. But the front looks way cheap, larger useless bezels, like the ones of the botton of device. Return to sony look alike style, not soo original, but at least sttuning.
Personally I like this design better than the X8 or X7, I like a simple, classic design with clean lines. Reminds me a lot of the Honor 6 which IMO is one of the best looking phones available. Bezels don’t really make a difference to me either way.

Did anyone here use the X8? How was it? Looking for a new work phone and always loved how striking the X8 looks.
X8 is nice, but pretty big. You should also give a look on the X8 Mini Pro, same specs on a 5″ screen. iOceans phones from the X7 and X8 has a really nice feeling, and very ellegant.
I have no problem with the size. 5.5-6 inches is the perfect size for me.
Yeah, X8 mini Pro is cool but for the battery…… imprecise charging % and too weak. But for the price… one can buy a spare external battery…. but a pity though….. Hope the X9 will get a 5- 5,3 inch screen and a at least 3000 mAh and a dual 4G ability to all networks similar to Huawei Honor 6 Plus and at least 64G intern memory +SD card slot
Yeah, hope iOcean come back to mind on X9. Because the battery of Rock is a great joke. 5.5″ FHD display with just 2300mAh battery.
