With the release and launch of their surprisingly good M52 out of the way, Mlais have already begun the teasing of a second smartphone for launch this coming week.
Mlais aren’t a new name to the Chinese Android smartphone market, but now the company are back with new designs, better suppliers and are concentrating on the internatonal market rather than the local Chinese market.
For 2015 they have already releases the Mlais M52 Red Note, a phone which really has taken me by surprise for its low cost and high-end specifications, now they are ready to do the same with another model.

Teasers of the new Mlais device have been posted on the official Mlais Facebook and show a Note sized phone, so around 5.5-inch in screen size, with leather look back panel and CNC machined metal chassis. Very little else is known about the phone at this point other than it is scheduled to be released in the coming days. Watch out for full specifications.

Don’t like the fake leather/texture look of the back panel, too Samsung-esque for me. A nice metal rear would look a 100 times better, just gotta wait for the rest of the spec now.
I quite like leather texture finish. It would depend on the quality of course, nice if it had a soft grip feel. Having launched a well specified phone in the M52, I’m hoping they really go for it with this one, AND make sure it is available for everyone.
I think it’s great that some of the lesser known manufacturers are releasing well built and specced phones at competitive prices. We’re now seeing some awesome budget phones that aren’t just very generic in design and actually look like some thought has gone into them, textured back included.
Another 5.5? not interested, I want to see the M52 but with a 5″ screen.
I’m guessing from the pic that it has the speaker at the back? Why don’t more manufacturers put them in the bottom or side of the phone? A lot better when showing YouTube etc clip to friends that you can put the phone on the table without obscuring them.
Mlais are just poor clone maker loosers…
