OnePlus’ invite-free model for the One arrives in India

The OnePlus One was a tough duck to chase until about a couple months back. Even after being in the market for more than 6 months, the device wasn’t easy to get hold of thanks to the invite system.

With time, though, the One started becoming easier to get. In fact, OnePlus hold an invite-free sale for the device every Tuesday on their international store, which means there’s at least one day of the week when hopefuls can get hold of the One without having to scour for an invite.

The very invite-free model has now traveled across borders to the Indian market, where OnePlus have a local presence. This means that the One will be available invite-free every Wednesday, starting 10am IST (GMT +5:30) via the usual shopping portal, Amazon India.

No thanks. Not interested anymore. The buzz and excitement has died down. I’d rather buy a Meizu when it arrives in India.
