Kicking off this weeks Chinese phone news is the latest leak from UMi about their UMi Iron phone detailing possible flagship specs.
The UMi Iron is the latest upcoming Android phone from UMi and judging by the rumoured specifications it looks like a device we could happily own. If you read the news last week, then you will already know that UMi have released Android 5.1 for their UMi Hammer and they appear to be following that theme on with the Iron.

The teaser clearly mentions Android 5.1 making it the first UMi to ship with Lollipop out of the box. We can also make out that the teaser mentioned an octacore Mediatek processor however the exact model number is obscured. While it would be easy to think that UMi are using an MT6752 chip, but it have mentioned that a more powerful MT6796 processor will be running the show.
The final detail we have uncovered is the possibility that the Iron will boast a 2K display. So far all of these details are rumour, but what we do know about the new phone is it will feature a full alloy chassis.

The second interesting phone announced today, it must be christmas! lol Hopefully this will have a 6″ screen as 2K is pointless in anything less IMO.
Third time is the charm, maybe this time they will release correct specifications for their phones.
Third time? They actually have a pretty bad record of crapy phones or lying about the specs. Its more 5th time the charm, but the weird thing is i stil like umi as a company and what they are trying to achive.
Umi Zero design with a more recent mtk chipset, 5″ amoled screen, 13mp camera and a decent battery capacity, then i would definitely consider to switch to the dark side and buy an umi phone.

Never heared some one mentioning this and couldnt find anything about this on there forum. Its listed on several resellers sites and antelife even made a video of it.
But why did they use a diverent body design? first one was perfect.
So far this is based on a early press model, btw Umi said this will not be the new Zero.
