Resellers accepting Elephone P8000 pre-orders now; Elecodes get you $40 off

Elephone’s P7000 didn’t exactly turn out to be as expected for the company (and perhaps even a few buyers), but they’re hoping for a fresh start with the P8000.

The P8000 will have a 5.5-inch full HD display, an MT6753 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board ROM and a massive 4165mAh battery. It’ll run Android 5.1 out of the box, which is pretty impressive and seems standard for most MT6753 phones that have been listed. The cameras on the P8000 will be: 13 mega-pixel rear and 5 mega-pixel front. You can find more information about the specifications of this phone here.

Resellers are accepting pre-orders for the phone, but under Elephone supervision. If you’re wondering how that is done, here it is: resellers provide ‘Elecodes’ to buyers, who then verify the codes at Elephone.hk. In turn, buyers get an email with an official coupon which can then be applied to bring the price down from US$209.99 to US$169.99. Pretty complicated perhaps, but it does sound like an interesting way to keep a tab on your resellers.

And also packing a SoC that is actually slower than the P7000 for more money??!
Umi and Jiayu have done much better than Ulephone and Elephone, which seam to be competing for the most models you can churn out in a year.

Folks at OnePlus must be very pissed that it wasn’t their idea.

      yep right MaxPower!
Launching new phones every month is too fast.
they put more force in developing than in support.
I have a P6000…….. promised to have OTA update android 5.0
That’s more than six months ago…. but no…. keep launching phones that’s what they do.
I prefer a honestly company with good support.
      this isn’t a good strategy…

Haha, nice one bro. I bet the actual really produced P8000 units and ready for selling can’t demand only one store for example geekbuying and what about others… They started good as company, but now the situation is bad…

They make pretty decent phones and they are priced right.

They are definitely struggling on logistic and distribution.
You can tell there’s no a real plan behind and it’s more likely “let’s try this way…”

Who would trust them after the Bendyfone P7000 hype. I cancelled my P7000 order and would need a lot of convincing to trust my money to this company. But if they get a review phone out to GizChina quickly and it’s good then maybe Elephone can get back on track.

It’s unfortunate because on the outside the phone aesthetics are futuristic and look stunning to “eye” as Andy in his review on 7000 making it work internally another story the build is phenomenal and high end Classy it’s to bad that can’t be more in tune with the internal hardware, especially with the specs that SOC is a beast it’s not the helio x10 it’s still a beast

5 Coupons everyday ??? you must be kidding Elephone… you people haven’t learned a lesson inspite of your not so huge success with p7000 flash sales… first concentrate and be sure on your production strength, then advertise and sell your products….
What is the point in giving so much hype without your ability to fulfill huge demand ???
