Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G gets a big-ish price cut in India

To make way for the upcoming Redmi Note 2, Xiaomi has given the existing Redmi Note 4G a price cut in India.

The Redmi Note 4G is now available for 7,999 INR down from 9,999 INR (from ~US$157 to ~US$125). The Redmi Note 3G was discontinued in India after Ericsson filed charges against Xiaomi for various patent violations earlier this year.

The Redmi Note 4G has a 5.5-inch screen, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8 GB of on-board storage and a 13 mega-pixel rear / 5 mega-pixel front camera combo. It powered by a 3100mAh battery.

Very recently, Xiaomi also gave the Mi Note a price cut in China. The device is now available for only 1,999 CNY in the home country of Xiaomi.

Do you think US$125 is a good price to pay for a dual SIM 4G phone? I don’t think it’s a remotely bad price, its just that you can’t expect cutting edge technology for that much.

I still love my Redmi Note 4G, so it’s nice to see it still being sold.
