LeTV are doing everything right in my mind. They have launched 3 great phones, they are selling phones without iffy marketing tactics and I have just experienced the best customer service so far.
Last week I wrote how I had had issues with the WIFI on my LeTV Le1 after the most recent stable update. I was able to later fix the problem by installing an official beta ROM, but today I received an email from LeTV head office.
In the past when we have received emails from companies in response to an article pointing out faults or problems, the email generally contains information how we βmisunderstoodβ or βdonβt get their marketingβ but we didnβt get this from LeTV.

Instead the email asked me some questions about the condition of the phone, when it stopped working, and if I can recreate the problem on video for them so they could try and trouble shoot the issue.
I hope every other smartphone maker out there are taking notes! This is what customer service should be all about, actually trying to help the consumer, not denying problems exist.
So once again LeTV you have impressed me! Your phones are great, your marketing sound and your customer service is amazing! No wonder they sold 1 million phonesΒ in only 3 months, how long did it take OnePlus to reach the same milestone?

They remind me of the Nexus line, all is great except there is no way in hell i can buy one.
Looking forward to their next hardware , the bike from a few days ago wasn’t all that cool. Not that cheap (you can buy a Niu N1 scooter for those prices) and the smart features feel a bit over the top, do we really need all that?

Actually, they didn’t have ANY phone bug free (software AND hardware speaking ;)).
Simply put: there is no competition (and no doubts) between them xD
If your question was about: MX5 and Le1 – that would make me hesitate for a looong while, but comparing LeTV to Elephone is just not fair. For Elephone of course – it’s not their league.

Ewww…. OnePlus warranty are sucks big time even thou my country are on of the list.
This is huge because like you pointed out just about every other email exchange I have had with companies has been them playing the blame game. Meizu and Xiaomi were the only two so far that have been actually helpful to me. LeTV could end up winning me over too.
But if they sold so many phones, why there is no LeTv community?
If only they had a microSD slot, supported LTE 800MHz and had a 5″ model. They would make a huge success in Europe.

Hi, Andi. That’s a great customer experience from LeTV. No sure if you’ve seen but I’ve reviewed both Le 1 and Le 1 Pro and have made a comparison video as well. Anyway, I was curious, do you have the issue on the Le 1 when the 4k footage cannot be played back on the computer? I’ve re-tested it a few times after software updates and have no idea what this is happening. Do you have the same issue? Thanks.

I’m not Andi but I have a LeTV and a computer, so I can give my experience. I actually saw your concern in your review video, so I tried it myself. I was able to play back the video I took with VLC, but not at full speed. I think my computer was unable to handle the video in real time. When I slowed down the video to half speed, it played fine. I tried to export the video and to downsample it, but couldn’t make it work. Have you tried with VLC?
Yes, I tried with VLC on MacBook. Usually it plays every video format. Also, I tried with 3 other apps, same result.
