Letv India start their marketing campaign with a giveaway

Giveaways are a proven way to catch your audience’s attention. Letv is now doing one before it launches its first product for the Indian market.

Letv ventured into phone territory earlier this year, and left pretty much everyone impressed.

The online-content-provider-turned-phonemaker is now ready to launch its first few devices in the Indian market, which is suddenly a hot favourite among Chinese players.

Letv has teased its TVs, phones and even TV boxes on social media as build-up for the pending launches. Late last night, Letv announced it would be holding a couple of giveaways for its fans in India.

Gizchina News of the week

Letv sent a message via their social channels promising one of their ‘superproducts’ as giveaway for a lucky fan. The message went on to say that if the post got more than 100,000 shares, Letv would fly a lucky fan to their upcoming global launch (the Snapdragon 820 phone?). Head over to the Facebook announcement if you think you can win an Letv phone this season.

Impatient fans have flocked to Letv’s social channels asking about product launches. “It’s all hush hush right now I’m afraid! Announcements to come soon,” Letv said in a Facebook comment.

i have a feeling that in India LeTV will do better than Xiaomi or Meizu, but they should add a low entry phone to their fleet.

        😀
i can imagine how nice it is.

my hopes are on LeTV opening in the US too (their soon opening US store suggests that they might sell phones as well).

Xiaomi will never come here but i would be more than happy to “settle” with LeTV 😀

Something to rival the Redmi series with good build quality would be nice.

The Redmi is a phone that would sell like crazy in India and not because it has an attractive price,
but because of the SD card and the dual SIM.

If Xiaomi can manage to get around the banishment of selling Mediatek devices in India then I’m sure they will easily reach the goal of selling 100M devices in one year.

The ban to sell MTK powered devices is pretty rough on them, maybe we could have seen many other great devices (and not the sd615 in the mi4i) and their phones have good support from both Xiaomi and community even for older devices (i.e mi2). And unlike some company that has a law to release a phone every two weeks (cough*samsung*cough) Xiaomi releases the at a good pace, all imo of course.

        but yes, i agree.
the Le 1 is not an entry level.
they need a low-tier that brings high numbers.
