Oukitel call themselves the ‘Apple of China’ compare U7 to iPhone 6s Plus

In their latest video Oukitel aren’t blowing anything up or chopping another phone in half, instead they compare the budget Oukitel U7 against the iPhone 6s Plus.

The video above shows the $69.99 smartphone compared to the much more expensive iPhone 6s Plus. The first comparison is how each phone looks. You will notice in the video that Oukitel have made a phone that is similar to the large iPhone overall but isn’t an exact replica. For example it lacks the home button Touch ID on the front and the rear of the phone appears to be plastic rather than metal.

The comparison goes on to show each phone under gaming conditions, which the Ouktiel actually does quite well in considering the low price, and finally a WIFI download test is performed.

Being a video made by Oukitel, and not knowing if both phones are connected to the same WIFI network we don’t know for sure if the Oukitel U7 is really faster than the iPhone 6S Plus in download speed, but for casual gaming and a phone that looks nice the U7 doesn’t look too bad.

I can call myself the King of Sweden, it doesn’t make it true. Someone needs to tell Oukitel about companies like Xiaomi and Huawei that are a lot closer to being the Apple of China than they ever will be. Oukitel is more like the Alcatel of China, even has a similar sounding name.

Technically Alcatel would be the TCL of America, TCL makes all the phones and slaps an Alcatel sticker on it.

the 6/6 Plus had a late-stage AC wave 1 radio, and the 6s/6s Plus has an early-stage wave 2. however, iphones have had many, many problems connecting to wifi routers over AC… at least part of it appears to be an issue with iOS 9 and a feature called wifi assist.

the oikatel u7 pro has no wifi AC at all.

based on that I imagine that the test was a wifi router with wifi AC and somehow a wifi 802.11n that the iphone 6 could not attach to but the oikatel could (maybe it wasnt advertised as a fallback mechanism from AC), and then wifi a or b as the fallback. the iphone failed to connect at AC speeds, fell back and had to use the slower 2.4Ghz band, while the U7 Pro connected directly to the 802.11n

Haha. you got the point. UMI says they are the Apple of China yet make some phones imitating Samsung. And they even imitating Ulefone, Ulefone name their device Paris and UMI use Rome.

It’s stupid to imitate iPhone, both Ulefone and UMI. But i’m ok with of Ulefone Paris, which is quite unique although the deisigning language is familiar.

There is no company which never imitate others. When iPhone 6 debut, don’t you feel it borrowed “designing language” from HTC one? But as time goes by, everybody choose to forget it and turn to believe that Apple is altogether innovative. That’s a shame of our time. This is a world dominated by big money.

        Why UMI? don’t know of
        any UMI device copying iPhones.
