This budget smartphone boasts a 9000mAh battery

macoox 9000mah phone

Smartphone maker Macoox had a bit of an event today announcing a few new phones and teasing media with word of a budget phone packing a 9000mAh battery.

The Macoox EX1 was teased today as a basic Android smartphone with simple specs but a battery larger enough to jump-start a jumbo jet. This little power plant has just a 1GB RAM and 4.5-inch display, yet the the batter is a huge 9000mAh beast.

The EX1 will also have 8GB internal storage, 8 mega-pixel main camera, 2 mega-pixel rear and support for China’s LTE networks.

Gizchina News of the week

A quick look at the official Macoox website doesn’t spill any additional details of the EX1 but there are details of a Mocoox EX phone designed for older smartphone users with a price tag of only 299 Yuan.

The companies other phones include a glasses free 3D phone (similar to something that VK have been teasing recently) and the rather attractive MCX7 and X7 Mini, phones that look similar to the latest devices from LeTV.

It’s always interesting to see a new name on the block, we wonder if Macoox will be a survivor or will disappear on to Chinese smartphone obscurity? Only time will tell.

You can’t really do anything on it but that battery will last a week. Its also as thick as a dictionary to accommodate that huge battery. Good luck finding those customers that want a big battery but don’t want to do anything fun on their phone.

I that’s that’s actually a power bank, with a screen, earpiece, mic, cameras and other bare minimum essentials put on top to call it a phone. The question to ask is why you would not carry a normal good phone having around 2500-3000 mAH battery and one of the new sleek power banks as backup instead.

they should make it rugged and waterproof, and with a dedicated flashlight, that would make more sense.

All regular phones should have a battery this good. Battery life is so pathetic on even the top phones that it should always get a one-star out of 5 on “battery / power” ratings.

Otherwise, it is like a Yugo with the best possible leather seats.
