OPPO Find 9 spotted at Taiwan certification authority

OPPO’s flagship Find series of phones has living a rather austere life of late. Since the launch of the Find 7 and Find 7a exactly two years back, there’s been nothing to speak about for the Find series.

There’s hope, however. Rumours of the alleged upcoming Find 9 keep showing every now and then. What we have on our hands today might be the among the most significant of the Find 9 leaks yet.

An OPPO phone, with model number X9009, was found on an Taiwanese certification authority’s database, according to sources. The Find 7 had a model number X9006; this freshly spotted X9009 could only be the Find 9.

Coming back to the Find 9; OPPO have a habit of making records with every launch in this series. For instance, the Find 5 and the Find 7 were regarded as the world’s first 1080p and 2K phones respectively.

Only time will tell what OPPO brings to the table with the Find 9. Rumours in the past have suggested 4-6GB of RAM, a 2K screen and more.

OPPO have skipped the March-ish launch cycle that they have. The Find 9 is currently expected to show up this June.

finally… but i don’t buy this June timeline hypothesis, since Oppo isn’t ready to integrate their latest technological advances (Super VOOC & SmartSensor) in their phones atm. Betting on Q3/Q4 2016 (Q4 to be realistic, Q3 as a fantasy).
