Seems like UMI didnt lay down arms following the yesterdays apology statement about delivery delays of UMI Touch and already finished first firmware OTA update for this model.
So not even a week into the release and here we have the first OTA update, what does it fix?
The upgrade number UMITOUCH.V3.02_20160402 brings:
– Optimisation of Camera performance
– Optimized Fingerprint scanner setup speed and accuracy

How to install via OTA?
Simply go to Setting -> About phone -> Wireless update -> Check for updates -> Update -> Done
We can assume its not going to be the last update by far, because according to the newest info they already started working on another one.

quite pointless what you say, Zenfone 2 was horrid when launched, they managed to fix it through OTAs.
No finished software is available at launch, that’s why updates do exist.
If you like, go to heaven if actually it exist and market umi product, we’re wiser now.

There is not a comparison between brands, only a report of a situation where the software wasn’t perfect out of the box and needed otas to adjust, could have been a thousand other models and brands.
And we don’t know each other, so keep those labels for yourself.

Ironically I’m using Iron and I’m pretty much satisfied with it, so i guess it’s subjective.
On iternet you find 90% people complaining, while they say nothing when they are pleased. Otherwhise you wouldn’t explain how samsung and apple sell million of devices while being bashed everywhere for every reason.
So your experience doesn’t make you the oracle of truth, and the same is for me.
It’s only different opinions and different experiences. I could say shit about a lot of brands and wonders for some others based on my limited experience with few models each, but since I know my experience of a single product of a brand can’t picture the whole reality, I just avoid those bullshits.

Hey guys just got my Umi touch delivered yesterday morning 4th april here in the UK, I updated it instantly, it is built nicely its the grey version with black front i have it hides the borders of the screen pretty nice, no rattling of the buttons they are solid & tactile , its heavier then I expected though lol, screen is decent its bright & vivid, finger print scanner is surprisingly really fast (works 8-9 times out of 10), the focusing in the camera app is slow & feels buggy to use but once the phone focuses it takes decent pictures with detail, lowlight photos are not too good so far a lot of noise, I downloaded Proshot for camera app works better when focusing it is a little faster then the stock app but i still need to play around with it a lil more, Launcher is umi’s standard umi stock launcher, I got nova launcher makes a big difference scrolling much smoother, just a quick overview, overall i think its not too bad so far..
