More OnePlus 3 show up with same design

OnePlus seem to have adopted a rather different (from their usual standard) design approach with the upcoming OnePlus 3. As some GizChina readers commented on the previous leaks, the design — especially the antennae lines — are very HTC-ish.

Fresh new photos of the phone have surfaced online, featuring the exact same design as the previous leaks. This includes a home button, which will most likely be capacitive (akin to the OnePlus 2).

OnePlus 3 Leaked Photos

In all earnest, it is a bit disappointing to see Chinese phone makers dish out designs that are far from new.

Gizchina News of the week

That said, OnePlus phones can be a bit deceptive in their leak stages. Both, the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 hardly had any fans for their design when they got leaked, but both phones gradually (exponentially?) grew on users, current and potential.

Coming back to the leaked images, they confirm the presence of the hardware profile switch that appears on both, the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X. Also seen is a USB Type-C port, chin speaker holes, and (phew!) a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the specs, it’s no surprise that the OnePlus 3 will be a Snapdragon 820 phone. More info here.

Sorry, but Mi is not adding Band 20 support, also the camera on oneplus seems to be a lot better. But I have to say, if the leaked pictures of the oneplus3 are true, then this one will be the ugliest oneplus I have ever seen

Maybe it’s an outdated design but I still like it with the black colour and the killer specs, if the camera it’s good I will buy it.
    My wishlist:
Leco Le Max 2, Zuk Z2 Pro, Vernee Apolo, Huawei P9, Gionee s8, One Plus 3, Meizu Pro 6.
I will wait and buy the phone with the best camera, may be the P9 or the other brands will surprise me with same quality or better, 5.2 size it’s too small to me.

Go for P9 or P9 plus if you want the best camera for stills.

I was writing the same comment, then i checked reviews on P9 camera to avoid writing crap. French reviewers from lesnumeriques.com said P9 camera is a jewel for Black and White photos, as expected from Leica, but low light photos are well behind S7 or G4. Their test protocol is serious so it may be valuable information as low light pictures suffer from blur and approximative white balance.

LN.COM claims dual setting on P9 is Sony’s IMX286 x2, and only the software part was tuned by Leica + Huawei.

BTW it may still be superior to OnePlus, Zuk & Co as these brands pull costs to the ground to sell flagship level hardware with lowest pricetag.

I won’t check these brands for a quality camphone. Oppo and Vivo are way better.

          s7 = trash .. but video focus = high-end.

Comparisons i checked displayed very clear pics from S7 in low-light env, free from pixel artifacts. S7 is a reference for camphones, so i don’t get how it could be wrong. Unless Sammy bought every reviewer ^^

BTW I just get a LG V10, and i’ll compare low light photos with a friend’s S7, to forge my own opinion.

but we NEED SUPER CHEAP phones with killer cams BETTER than those at S7 !

We have to admit Huawei offers one of the best low-light photography skills on its flagship phones since the P8 and it’s one of those camera we’d pick for low-light shots in a heartbeat. While confusing at first, Huawei’s take on the interface and capturing process is amog most intuitive and user-friendly we’ve tried so far.

I just may have noticed, have them oneplus folk liars photographed the phone with a pile of dogpoop in the background. Maybe they should rethink their whole “never settle” thing over again. As I, the chairman alsways say: Go with millet or go home. Thanks
