Not a bad price for mid-range specs and last years tech. but still not available to purchase. Probably a month away before people get their hands on this phone. It may be interesting to people who can add extra money and improve on the Vernee Thor or InFocus phone purchase.

Yep the first batch is shipping since last week but Oukitel are trying to rally up funds from pre-sales for main run. Some people maybe waiting up to a month.

        • May 18, 2016

Hmmmm, so that’s how they run things. I was really pissed when Oukitel announced the black version wouldn’t ship till end of May. Oh well, I’ll just keep waiting.

Hopefully it will be super worth the weight ?

its on sale already. then again about the Thor: it appeals to an especific market as well as the k6000 pro.

I think that the large battery with quick charge is a bit of overkill. The whole point of big batteries is to avoid recharging. Wouldn’t the ideal combination be a smaller, lighter battery with quick charging?

You mean like every other damn phone out there?! No, it’s not… You have a big battery, plus it’s not going to take forever to recharge… What’s so difficult to understand?

and then if you just plug it for 10 minutes you are good for a nice 5 hour use maybe … great!!!

You misunderstood me. Does every damn phone have quick charging? Hardly.

I am saying that if you have a 6000 mah battery it should take you through at least a couple of days of use with one charge so you will have many opportunities to charge it (like two times overnight). This huge battery will add size, weight (and cost) to the phone which you will have to carry around with you always. I am only suggesting that the quick charging feature would permit you to have a lighter, cheaper phone and if you are absent minded enough to forget an overnight charge you can sneak in a quick charge during the day to get you through.

Pump express is working on many devices, it’s not that rare! And, as months go by, every phone will have some kind of quick charge…

So, no: it’s still better having a phone with a huge battery, plus some kind of quick charge so you don’t have to wait forever for it…

If you like lighter, slimmer phones, it’s alright: it’s your own taste… But it doesn’t apply to everyone: someone just want a phone which would last a day of continuous use without the worry of recharging!

The problem is that, if it’s similar to the charger found in the ulefone power, the phone is going to get pretty hot while charging

  7. May 18, 2016

By the way this video doesn’t say the device can be fully charged in 2hrs. It just shows the device can do 2hrs of call with just 5 minutes charge

I could be misinformed. I was told mid-june for proper release. They are trying to rally up the sales at $149.99 till the 31st of May then go into main production. Some people are getting first batch. If you’re not lucky you’ll be told 15 day order processing from sales profiles/sites which will stretch with excuses. This is insider gossip though.

What I’m saying is outside of that claim. It’s about batches not merely a batch of white (noting the first batch wasn’t all white shelled). Oukitel are trying to rally up a number of pre-sales before next production run.

Anyway it’s not all bad. People will get their phones.

i was comparing both phones and Oukitel wins for me
Oukitel has 32gb rom while ulefone 16gb
the display on the Oukitel is better
you can check this video the people on gizmochina compared it and rated Grade A

oukitel has dragontrail glass and water splash resistant

the only thing that Elefone has is infrared and wifi display function (not sure if Oukitel has this one)

not to mention that Ulefone is a dodgy company that received lots of negative feedback
