Range topping OnePlus 3 will have NFC and single SIM

A new GFXBench benchmark reveals more of the specs of the upcoming OnePlus 3.

The OnePlus 3 has been hitting the declines quite often these weeks, and with the launch just 7 days away expect more leaks and teaser to hit the web too.

Current rumours include the the phone is a rebadged Oppo R9 with updated hardware, there are reports that there will be up to 6 variants of the phone, and Pete Lau has even reported that the new phone feels great to hold (but of course he is going to say that).

The most recent leak comes in the form of a GFXbench benchmark that seemingly reveals more of the details of the top of the range variant of the OP3.

According to the benchmark the most expensive version of the new phone will come with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB RAM, 1080p FHD 5.5-inch display, 64GB memory, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 16 mega-pixel rear camera.

Gizchina News of the week

The benchmarks also indicate the phone will feature NFC and a single SIM card slot! This last detail is a little surprising since the OP2 has dual SIM support.

Other features of the OP3 include a battery of at least 3000mAh and VOOC fast charging from parent company Oppo. Lower end OP3 variants are expected to get less storage and 4GB RAM.

Watch out for more OnePlus 3 news and the phone launch on the 15th June!

I find the biggest problem when using a mobile device is the predicitve text constantly changing words so you end up with a message that is nothing like you actually typed!!

A lot of the times when I am on here I am sitting in an airport somewhere with thousands of people so I can barely hear myself think let alone type haha.

Whatttt? Hahahaha a rather odd option. I guess you went after to see their customer service rigth??? And see if they deliver???

For that 808 SoC I would had gone the BB private way,… then again options are there for choices to be made based on different likes.

I do hope that NextBit pulls it off … they seem decent.
I would have gone after the LG V10 (same SoC, perfect camera) or BB Priv (same SoC, my perfect form factor ?)

I got it from a friend who won it in one of the contests they had. So it’s one of the special edition colors. He never even opened it so he gave it to me for practically nothing (I gave him $100). But I have always been intrigued by this phone as I am very Pro Cloud. I will end up getting another phone this summer, most likely the Gionee S8 when it comes to Blu.

    • balcobomber25

To be fair the OnePlus One had the most hype of any phone in recent memory and it delivered big time.

        June 7, 2016

Yep, as I recall back then Balco, you just hated the Invite System didn’t you..?

Which was understandable really as it wasn’t a ‘real’ phone to a lot of people because of that…

        • balcobomber25
          June 7, 2016

I have never had a problem with the OnePlus phones. I have used both the One and the Two and they were both very excellent phones for the money. My only complaints was with the way OnePlus did business, from the invite system to the crazy promotions (Ladies first). I actually love most of parent companies OPPO’s products. They are one of my preferred brands from China.

If they don’t it sure will, then kaput, finito, el fin, the end. Too many Axons7 and V8s and Z2 pros etc etc to be any relevant (IF not)

I liked the original OPO and OP2 designs. The sandstone back was good. It made Oneplus diff than others. This design is too genric. i dont like it.

If only 1 sim … o don’t see it any where but will it have sd-card this time? If not they missed that opportunity.
Any How… AXON 7 at a nice price point should call everyone’s attention… the audio seems to be a great deal from all the hands-on reviews on YouTube.

SOMETHING IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ AND HAVE YOUR SAY…

I feel that some nice companies are not helping themselves by giving 2 versions even 3 versions of their “”FLAGSHIP”” phones. I mean it from the point where you create different PRODUCT EXPERIENCE from the same named product but (becuse there is a mild and then a more powerful versions ) word of mouth will be inconsistent for it with people praising the product and some disagreeing from the others. Even if not to say the phone is bad they will say it’s not all that good as others will rightfully say.

I guess it should be you make a FLAGSHIP and if you want you make different size and screen but keep everything else the same as SONY USED TO try with the Z line. Do you guys think I am too crazy to think that or is it some good thinking???

Not to be funny but people keep comparing the Axon with the One+ $100 is a big difference when you are shopping for a phone on a budget.
