Renders of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 give it a Samsung-esque look

Weā€™re still none the wiser what Xiaomi have planned for the look of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, but we wonder if these renders could give us some clues.

The past few weeks has been full of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 rumours, with the most recent telling us to expect around 4 variants of the larger screened phone with screen resolutions reaching 2K and all 4 models boasting Snapdragon 821 chipsets.

Other leaks have suggested that Xiaomi might also go for a dual camera design on their larger flagship and that the more expensive versions of the phone might come with a curved 2K display like the Vivo Xplay 5.

A render has also turned up showing a slightly curved panelled Xiaomi Mi Note 2, with rectangular home button and boxy chassis, all qualities it shares with the Galaxy Note 7. Although posted online as a ā€œleaked renderā€ of the new Xiaomi, itā€™s clear whoever made the drawing has been heavily inspired by the new Samsung, the question is now have Xiaomi?

Top end specifications for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 include dual 12 mega-pixel rear cameras, Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 4000mAh battery.

Judging by your quarterly results you might want to start selling your phone’s officially in more countries. Unless your real target was the washing machine market.

In Europe, the interest in Xiaomi and other chinese brands is raising. Fast LTE networks have decent coverage. However Band 20 is used very often. I know that for China market it’s nonsense to add B20 as it adds on price, but would be good if global versions will come with B20 along with chinese without B20 as we could saw with Redmi Note 3 Pro for example.

I like Xiaomi phones but would never buy any phone that isn’t easy to grip without the risk of accidentally touching and launching apps that are too close to the edge. I prefer a flat screen with a bit of bezel for this reason.
