Ulefone are going to show their models at the CTIA convention in Las Vegas

The CTIA Super Mobility convention is currently under way in Las Vegas and all the manufacturers and enthusiasts concerned about the wireless and mobile technologies are active there.

Of course the chinese don’t want to be left behind either so Ulefone are showing the Power, Future and Metal models there and even some of the mysterious upcoming models. Following the suit of Samsung or Apple they are working on a waterproof phone and some other device, which should have once again a monster battery capacity like Ulefone Power previously.

Gizchina News of the week

Ulefone are also trying to explore the possibility of expanding their distribution network with more offline sales, because based on the numbers from last year the offline sales are attributing only for about 20 % of the total sales. So room for improvement is certainly there so let’s see what they can come up with.

An x20 power 2 with a decent camera would be a nice thing, and it shouldn’t be impossible because oukitel was working on something similar with a release date of october, so it’s totally possible… Waiting for it, although cool1 dual has me almost sold…

Yup, still waiting for that… But I knew right from the start it would come out by the end of the year, so I’m not searching anything about it: don’t want to feed up the hype too soon ?

Yeah, that guy knows how to test devices, and doesn’t get stuck with the “meh, it’s not samsung s7” like other reviewers

It wasn’t worth your money anyway, so not much of a big deal: you can see plenty of reviews for super that is basically the same phone!

On the other hand, today he published cool1’s review… Spoiler: it’s an heck of a phone ?

            • Muhammad Yasir
              September 11, 2016

lack of SD card slot tho ….
where you gonna store all those memorable pics when the memory runs out :/ ?

              September 11, 2016

Don’t know… On a pc maybe? Perhaps I actually have a non-expandable 32gb phone, and have like 1300 pics, many downloaded images and gifs, music, apps and movies… And I’ve yet to run out of space! ? when I’ll have space problems, I’ll probably just move the pics on a pc and delete the worst ones… Maybe I’ll buy a micro-usb pen and move something on that one using otg too…

Anyway, I’ll probably wait for the 4/64gb version of this cool1 and decide afterwards what to take

              September 11, 2016

              oh .. right

              never thought about that !

how much does the cool1 cost at its CHEAPEST ?

              September 11, 2016

Kimovil. com is your friend ?
Right now it’s around 180$, but that’s because pre-sales are still going or just ended… Once the phone becomes available everywhere and the other versions are out, the price will stabilize

            • Muhammad Yasir
              September 11, 2016

i’ll take it if it falls to $140 …

ofc i’ll have to earn money first. and still have to figure out how much damn tax do the Pakistani customs apply on Smartphone imports

@disqus_hFOS6jWFnn:disqus , i’d just like to know or rather confirm with you … is the DUAL rear cam TRULY amazing ? i mean i saw the video review and everything but are the Bokeh effects truly as amazing (im looking to fool and amaze some of my friends with the cam , mistaking it for DSLR 😛 )

also , is the selfie cam good enough ? im going to some university events in the coming time and would like to know if the selfie cam is amazing !

            • MattD
              September 12, 2016

I’m not going to lie: no smartphone is going to be a on DLSR level anytime soon, we simply don’t have the technology to build anything like that into a space so small.
I’d like to have and test the device first hand in order to tell you whether the camera is really amazing or not, but… For now, everything we have are reviews, and it’s hard to tell. What I can actually say is that the camera looks very good, maybe not on 800$ phones level, but you’re not paying 800$ either. Let’s say: this year the thing that impressed me the most is htc m10, and this doesn’t look on the same level, but doesn’t look like 700$ behind either.
But both aren’t on the same level of a DLSR, and no phone is. Still, the thing is that you don’t need to have a pricy piece of kit in order to amaze who’s looking: if the pic you shoot is amazing, it’s going to speak for itself… I did myself nice pics with my phone, which is good but not great: still my friends commented that the pic was amazing, because what I portrayed was amazing itself, not because of megapixels, dynamic range and shite.

As for the front camera, reviews say it’s good, but I don’t know: I really don’t give a faq about selfies ?

              September 13, 2016

              “I really don’t give a faq about selfies ?”

but but … i DO! you don’t know how important selfies are here :p !

nice analysis btw … you’re right , we can’t have DSLR , but i just want to amaze some people with the Bokeh effect … you might know how important it is 😀

            • MattD
              September 14, 2016

They say selfies are good… I really can’t judge! In the worst case, the fingerprint scanner looks very reflective: you can mirror yourself there and shoot with rear camera! ? (in 2000’s it was a common thing, nokia used to have something chromed on the back of every flagship).

However, the bokeh is there, it’s not perfect but perhaps they’ll improve it over time!

            • Muhammad Yasir
              September 15, 2016

lol that mirror idea tho …

well , i’ll see how the cool1 evolves in terms of software..

I’ll do the same, perhaps cuoco92 will do his usual magic with letv’s custom rom ?

          im just hyping man …

          but either way

          (i) either Ulefone have taken a break from making a FULL ON Flagship and are following a relatively SAFE and CONSERVATIVE Business model now …

          OR

(ii) This is the Calm before the storm. Their big-wigs are busy trashing out a deal with Qualcomm for the 821 CPUs in mass stock , JDI for top notch 2k Panels , Samsung for high speed RAM modules and Foxconn for Type C , Sony for the dual cam shipments and some company for UFS storage to act as ROM 😀

hell , they might even be in talks with some company for the Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensors !

Expect the unexpected my friend !
