Elephone gets the Mediatek stamp of approval for Helio P20 usage

Seems like Elephone finally closed the deal with Mediatek about the usage of Helio P20 processor so the upcoming Elephone devices are surely quite often will be flashing this piece of hardware. Elephone even claim that they will be the first one worldwide with Helio P20 powered phone, but we know that UMI are saying more or less the same.

But no matter who will be the first one we should be very soon seeing the phones with Helio P20 hitting the market. At least with Elephone and their machine gun-like production it’s very likely.

Gizchina News of the week

So what are the key differences between Helio P10 and Helio P20? Well for starters the P20 brings to the table much better energy efficiency thanks to the 16 nm FinFET technology and LPDDR4X RAM standard, theoretically it can be up to 25 % better. Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 2,3 GHz and the new Mali T-880MP2 GPU clocked at 900 MHz will be also way more powerful than the predecessor.

Helio P20 also supports higher theoretical camera resolution up to 24 Mpix, or a dual camera setup with 13 Mpix each. According to the internal Javascript tests the 16 nm technology can account to roughly 15 % longer battery life compared to previous generations.

      “the 1st brand in future”

Hahahaaa! I’m still laughing! Elephone is one of the dumbest brands of China, they don’t have even a single phone, that works without problems. Maybe they can be 1st brand from the bottom. =P

And MitsosDaSad strikes again, with his optimistic view of life and of chinese phones, just launch your brand and do better.

uhm no company is perfect, one example i can give you is samsung and their exploding note 7… lately elephone had been trying their best to keep up a good and reliable support, look at how much attention they give to p9000 series for instance

It’s going to be funny when they find out they will get a pre-check, hoping to get the real money in few years, just like Elephone does with their phone’s launch.

Cool! Helio P20 gives 15% longer battery backup, that means devices can be more thinner by using slight less capacity batteries. Great! Technology is evolving everyday!

      September 26, 2016

No, hopefully they wont go this way, we don’t need thinner devices… we need power efficiency, with decent batteries.

Very good news for Elephone.. Mediatek is showing a very powerful road-map and their products goes better generation after generation. This agreement between Mediatek and Elephone is really important in the Chinese panorama maker.. Good Luck for the new devices.
